Is the backpack waterproof?
It is water-resistant, not fully waterproof. The shell is water-resistant ripstop nylon with reinforced storm-flap zippers, and a rain cover is included in a hidden compartment for heavier rain.
Is a rain cover included?
Yes. The rain cover stores in the hidden rain-cover compartment at the base of the pack.
How much weight can it carry?
The recommended maximum load is 40 lb.
Will it fit a laptop?
There is no dedicated padded laptop compartment. The current listing identifies compatibility with devices up to 15.6 inches in the main compartment; use a protective sleeve.
Does it come in different sizes?
It is one size with an adjustable harness. The shoulder straps, sternum strap and hip/waist belt all adjust.
Can I attach a tent or sleeping pad?
Yes. Bottom lash loops secure a tent or bedroll, and compression and tie-down straps keep the load stable.

Directly from this website, with checkout handled by Shopify's secure checkout. Our products are also available on Amazon for customers who prefer to purchase there.

Checkout accepts Credit and debit cards, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay.
Can I change or cancel an order after placing it?
Orders go to fulfillment shortly after they are placed, so changes are not always possible. Email info@ruggedpeaksoutfitters.com with your order number as soon as you can and we will do what we can before it ships. Once shipped, it can be handled as a return.
Will I receive an order confirmation?
Yes. You get an order confirmation by email right after checkout and a shipping confirmation with tracking when the order ships.

Where do you ship?
Orders placed on this website currently ship within the United States.
How much does shipping cost?
Standard shipping is free on every order. Express shipping is available at checkout for $15.
How long does processing take?
Orders ship within 1 to 2 business days.
Who ships my order?
Orders are fulfilled from Amazon's fulfillment network, so they ship the same way our Amazon orders do.
How long does delivery take?
It depends on your location and the shipping option you choose. Your shipping confirmation includes the carrier and an estimated delivery date.
How do I track my order?
A tracking number is emailed to you when your order ships.
Returns
How do I return an order placed on this website?
Email info@ruggedpeaksoutfitters.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will reply with instructions and a return label.
What is your return window?
Orders placed on this website can be returned within 30 days of delivery, unused, with tags and packaging.
Who pays for return shipping?
If the item is defective, we send you a prepaid return label. For change-of-mind returns, return shipping is paid by the customer.
How long do refunds take?
Refunds go to the original payment method within 5 to 10 business days of our receiving the return.
Can I exchange my backpack?
We currently offer one product in one colorway, so an exchange works as a return plus a new order. Email info@ruggedpeaksoutfitters.com and we will walk you through it.
My order arrived damaged. What should I do?
Email info@ruggedpeaksoutfitters.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photos of the item and packaging, and we will arrange a replacement or refund.
Hydration
Is the backpack hydration compatible?
Yes. It has an internal hydration sleeve, an H2O port and hydration routing through the interior of the pack.
Is a hydration bladder included?
No. The pack is designed to accommodate a hydration system, but a bladder is sold separately.
Product Care
How should I clean the backpack?
Spot clean with mild soap and cold water, then air dry away from direct heat. Do not machine wash or bleach. Store it dry, with the rain cover unpacked.

The rain cover stores in the hidden rain-cover compartment at the base of the pack.

I bought on Amazon. Who handles my order, return or refund?
Orders placed on Amazon.com are serviced through your Amazon account: shipping updates, returns and refunds all go through Amazon's Your Orders page and Amazon's return policy.
Is the product on Amazon the same as the one sold here?
Yes. The backpack sold on Amazon is identical to the one sold on this website, and both ship from the same fulfillment network.
